Qatar Says All Maritime Activities Will Resume Immediately

A new initiative aims to bolster the digital capabilities of 500 Yemeni teachers across five governorates, including Aden, Abyan, Hadramawt, Al-Mahra, and Socotra. The "Digital Empowerment for Yemeni Teachers" project is a collaboration between the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at King Abdulaziz University.

The program employs a blended learning approach, combining in-person sessions with remote videoconferencing to ensure broad participation. Its curriculum is designed to equip teachers with essential skills for integrating digital technologies into their classrooms, improving educational content, and refining instructional methods. This effort seeks to enhance the capacity of Yemen's education workforce to adapt to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

This initiative is part of SDRPY's wider commitment to human development in Yemen, viewing education as fundamental to sustainable growth and institutional strength. The training program features two core tracks: one focusing on artificial intelligence applications and AI-generated content for developing teaching materials, and another on digital instructional design for creating interactive educational content aligned with modern pedagogical practices.

The project is expected to expand the adoption of digital solutions within Yemeni schools and educational institutions. It builds upon SDRPY's extensive support for Yemen's education sector, which includes constructing and equipping schools, developing universities, and establishing colleges and institutes. Since its inception, SDRPY has undertaken 287 projects across eight key sectors in Yemen, aiming to foster stability and improve essential services.
