Qatar warns it "reserves the full right to respond" to Iran's attacks

Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of what it termed "renewed attacks" by Iran against its territory and other nations in the region. The Qatari government, acting as a mediator between Washington and Tehran, issued a statement on Sunday asserting its full right to respond in accordance with international law to protect its sovereignty, security, and citizens.

Qatar reserves the full right to respond, in accordance with the provisions of international law, and to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and its citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Doha described Tehran's offensive as a "flagrant violation" of regional sovereignty. It placed full responsibility on the Islamic Republic for these attacks and their subsequent repercussions. This strong reaction comes after Iranian projectile debris injured at least three people on Qatari soil, as part of a wave of attacks that also affected neighboring countries like Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait.

Qatar views these military actions on its own soil and that of its neighbors as a "dangerous escalation." The statement emphasized that such actions hinder efforts to de-escalate tensions and undermine diplomatic initiatives aimed at fostering stability in the Middle East. The Gulf state reiterated its "full solidarity with the sister nations" affected by the attacks.
