Quentin Tarantino returns to acting alongside Kylie Minogue in 'Tangled Up in Blue'

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is stepping back in front of the camera for a starring role in the upcoming movie "Tangled Up in Blue." He will share the screen with Australian singer Kylie Minogue in the new production.

Initial filming images emerged over the weekend, showing Tarantino and Minogue on location in the coastal town of Porthcawl, Wales. Reports indicate they participated in scenes filmed at Newton Church and the Saltwater Inn.

The film, directed by Welsh filmmaker Jamie Adams, boasts an impressive cast. Alongside Tarantino and Minogue, the movie will feature American actress Allison Williams, rapper RZA, and actors Jason Isaacs and Sofia Boutella, according to Variety. Several Welsh actors, including Karen Paullada, Julian Lewis Jones, Craig Russell, and Siwan Morris, are also part of the ensemble.

Details about "Tangled Up in Blue" remain scarce, with producers yet to reveal plot specifics or an official release date. This marks Tarantino's return to acting after his recent role as book editor John Percy in "Only What We Carry," also directed by Adams, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival. Tarantino is also preparing for his debut play, "The Popinjay Cavalier," slated for a West End debut in London in early 2027. For Minogue, this film signifies her return to cinema eight years after the release of the dramedy "Swinging Safari."
