Ra High skipper hopeful for same support

Following their historic 12-10 victory over defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School, Ra High School's under-18 captain, Iliesa Nacele, is calling on fans to rally behind the team once more. The win, achieved at Garvey Park in Tavua, marks a significant milestone for Ra High School, propelling them into the Vodafone Super Deans semifinals.

Nacele, who hails from Navitilevu, Nalawa in Ra, was a standout performer in the crucial quarterfinal match. He expressed his hope that the passionate support witnessed during the historic win will translate to an even larger turnout this weekend in Lautoka for their semifinal clash against Suva Grammar School.

The captain highlighted the dedication of their supporters, noting that many fans traveled from their villages, rearranging their schedules to cheer the team on. Even members of the Ra senior team, who recently won the Vodafone Vanua Championship trophy, were present to lend their support, demonstrating a strong community backing for the school's rugby program.

Ra High School is set to face Suva Grammar School in Lautoka on Saturday. The semifinals for both the Deans (under-18) and Weetbix Raluve (under-18 girls) competitions will take place at HFC Bank Stadium, Churchill Park, and Buckhurst Park. Fans can catch the action live on VITI+.
