Rabani and Wong Dominate Perak Multi-Sports Festival 2026 Triathlon Events

Muhammad Rabani Hashim emerged victorious in the premier 113 Triathlon at the Perak Multi-Sports Festival 2026, held at Marina Island Pangkor. This win marks a significant improvement from his second-place finish last year, securing him the overall men's title with a time of 5 hours, 8 minutes, and 43 seconds.

Rabani completed a challenging course that included a 2-kilometer swim, a 90-kilometer cycle, and a 21-kilometer run. He narrowly beat Abdullah Umar Idrus, who finished second with a time of 5:10:40, while Joseh Taylor from Great Britain secured third place.

In the women's division, Wong Ee Va successfully retained her championship title from the previous year, clocking in at 5:25:48. She outpaced Russia's Elizaveta Prokhorova, who came in second, and Harum Delima Mohd Noor, who completed the podium.

The festival, a two-day event featuring triathlon, duathlon, and aquathlon disciplines, drew approximately 1,000 participants from 22 nations. Race director Toto Ong noted the festival's continuous growth, attributing it to strong support from participants and stakeholders. The introduction of the Perak Aquathlon this year was highlighted as a key development in expanding the festival's reach within the endurance sports community.
