Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Gordon end Camello's resistance in 5-2 Barcelona win

Barcelona’s attacking trio of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Anthony Gordon finally broke Rayo Vallecano’s resistance in a 5-2 victory that preserved the champions’ perfect start to the LaLiga season.

Rayo stunned Barcelona in the 12th minute when Álvaro García set up Sergio Camello, who struck the ball into the top corner. The goal marked the first LaLiga goal conceded by Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García. Barcelona responded seven minutes later, with Raphinha collecting a pass from a combination involving Pedri and Xavi Espart before beating Dani Cárdenas.

Lamine Yamal put Barcelona ahead two minutes later with a powerful left-footed shot into the near top corner. The forward had looked frustrated after failing to score in Barcelona’s first two league matches, but his goal brought him back into the spotlight as the hosts continued to press.

Rayo remained competitive after the interval. Gordon’s cross deflected off Florian Lejeune for an own goal in the 51st minute, but Camello headed in from a corner eight minutes later to reduce the deficit. Barcelona then pulled away when Raphinha scored his fifth league goal of the season in the 71st minute, with Gordon supplying a back-heeled assist. Lamine completed the scoring in the 90th minute.
