Rasmus Højgaard finishes fourth at PGA Tour's Rocket Classic

Rasmus Højgaard secured a fourth-place finish at the PGA Tour's Rocket Classic in Detroit, earning nearly $3.2 million. He had positioned himself for a potential victory after a remarkable third round where he tied the course record. Højgaard began the final day tied for third, but a bogey on the second hole was followed by a quick birdie.

An eagle on the fourth hole and further birdies on the eighth and tenth holes propelled Højgaard into the sole lead. However, the pressure mounted, and a missed putt on the 11th hole led to a bogey, costing him the lead. Another bogey on the final 18th hole sealed his fourth-place finish. He completed the tournament 14 strokes under par, four strokes behind the winner, American Michael Thorbjornsen.

His twin brother, Nicolai Højgaard, and Thorbjørn Olesen also competed in the final round. Olesen finished tied for 38th, while Nicolai Højgaard ended in a tie for 61st. The tournament boasted a total prize pool of $10 million, with the winner receiving $1.8 million.
