RATTAWU honors DSS DG Ajayi for strategic intelligence

The Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi, has been recognized by the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) with the ‘Golden Era Pillar of Critical and Strategic Intelligence for National Development Award’. The honor was bestowed upon Ajayi at his office in Abuja during a meeting focused on media/security critical engagement and strategic partnership for national development, coinciding with RATTAWU's 50th anniversary.

Emeka Kalu, the National President of RATTAWU, lauded President Bola Tinubu's 2024 appointment of Ajayi, describing it as placing a "round peg in a round hole." Kalu explained that the award aims to acknowledge individuals and institutions making significant contributions to Nigeria's development, security, democracy, and culture. He emphasized that Ajayi's appointment reflects the importance of entrusting capable, integrity-driven, and professionally competent Nigerians with strategic national responsibilities.
