Real Madrid presidential candidate promises Haaland and Rodri

Enrique Riquelme, a challenger to Florentino Perez for the presidency of Real Madrid, has launched a bold campaign promise, vowing to bring football stars Erling Haaland and Rodri to the club if he wins the election. Riquelme presented a notarized document on the television show El Hormiguero, which he claims guarantees the fulfillment of these ambitious transfer pledges.

Haaland, currently under contract with Manchester City until 2034, represents a significant transfer target. Riquelme's commitment is so strong that he has pledged to personally cover the cost of all membership fees for the upcoming season should he fail to secure these transfers. This move aims to galvanize fan support by offering tangible, high-profile additions to the team.

Meanwhile, incumbent president Florentino Perez is reportedly assembling his own formidable team. He has already enlisted club legends Raúl González Blanco, who is slated to take on the role of sporting director, and Fernando Hierro, who is expected to lead the club's youth academy, La Fábrica. Riquelme, however, has expressed reservations about Perez's rumored coaching candidate, José Mourinho, stating that the Portuguese manager does not align with his project for the club.
