Real Madrid ready to sell striker for 60 million euros as Fulham pushes for deal

Real Madrid is reportedly considering selling young striker Gonzalo Garcia this summer, despite initial expectations that manager Jose Mourinho would count on him. Spanish outlet AS reports that Fulham is prepared to offer 60 million euros for the player, but with a condition that they acquire 100% of his rights.

This proposed deal clashes with Real Madrid's recent transfer strategy. The club has often opted for lower fees in exchange for retaining a buy-back clause for promising young players. For Garcia, Real Madrid would prefer to sell 50% of his contract for 30 million euros, keeping the option to buy him back later.

The transfer is reportedly close to completion, with the main point of negotiation being the purchase terms. Fulham is firm on its model, while Real Madrid believes Garcia can still develop further and could fetch a much higher price in a future sale. If the transfer goes through, Garcia would reunite with former coach Alvaro Arbeloa at Fulham.

The 22-year-old forward has played 51 games for Real Madrid's first team, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists. He has also made one appearance for the Spanish national team. Besides Fulham, Turkish club Fenerbahce has also been linked with Garcia.
