Real Madrid surprises with new striker signing: Young Spanish international arrives

Real Madrid has secured the signing of promising young Spanish striker Carlos Espi, adding a new attacking option to their squad. The 21-year-old joins from Levante on a five-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2031.

Espi arrives at Real Madrid after a standout season with Levante, where he was recognized as the best La Liga player under 23 years old. He played 66 matches for his former club, scoring 20 goals, and previously represented Spain at the U19 and U20 levels.

While Spanish media had anticipated a move to English club Brighton, Real Madrid acted swiftly upon learning of Espi's €25 million release clause. Although Levante has not officially confirmed the transfer fee, they indicated that the deal represents the largest sale of a player from their youth academy in the club's history.

Espi becomes Real Madrid's fifth acquisition this transfer window. He joins Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté, and Denzel Dumfries in strengthening the team for the upcoming season.
