Recovery support reaches more farmers

Fiji's Ministry of Agriculture is actively assisting farmers who suffered losses due to Tropical Cyclone Vaianu. Through the dedicated TC Vaianu Rehabilitation Programme, the ministry aims to help agricultural communities recover from the devastating storm.

As of July 5th, the program has successfully provided aid to 178 farmers. This support is crucial for rebuilding livelihoods and restoring agricultural operations that were severely damaged by the cyclone's destructive winds and rains. The ministry continues to process applications from affected farmers.

In total, 513 farmers have applied for assistance under the rehabilitation program. The ministry acknowledges the patience of the farmers and members of the public as they work diligently to distribute aid. This initiative highlights the government's commitment to supporting its agricultural sector during times of crisis and ensuring a path toward recovery for those impacted by the cyclone.
