Red Bull Rampage Reveals 12 Female Riders Set to Compete in Utah Desert

The Red Bull Rampage, a premier event in freeride mountain biking, has confirmed the 12 female athletes who will challenge the demanding Utah desert in its 2026 edition. The competition is scheduled to take place on October 8 in Virgin, Utah.

This year's event will feature the third iteration of the women's category, a development stemming from the Red Bull Formation initiative launched in 2019. Formation was specifically created to foster the growth of women's freeride and paved the way for female athletes to be included in the main Red Bull Rampage event.

Among the standout competitors is New Zealand's Robin Goomes, who has dominated the women's category in the previous two years. Goomes arrives in Utah with the opportunity to secure a remarkable third consecutive victory. She will face stiff competition from riders like Canada's Georgia Astle, who placed second in her 2024 debut and third in 2025, and American Hannah Bergemann, the runner-up in the last edition.

Other notable participants include Argentina's Cami Nogueira, who finished fourth in 2025, and Canada's Casey Brown, a previous third-place finisher. The lineup also features American Chelsea Kimball, Australia's Harriet "Haz" Burbidge-Smith, young American Janelle Soukup, and Canada's Kirsten Van Horne. Scotland's Mikayla Parton, a former World Cup downhill racer, will be the sole debutante in the women's field. Rounding out the impressive roster are Canada's Vaea Verbeeck and New Zealand's Vinny Armstrong. The 12 riders will navigate the challenging terrain of Virgin, with all eyes on Goomes' quest for a third consecutive title.
