Reduced Traffic at Most Serbian Border Crossings, Gradina and Horgoš 2 Remain Congested

Traffic flow has eased at numerous border crossings, although significant delays persist at Gradina and Horgoš 2. Data from border police indicates that vehicles exiting the country at Horgoš 2 are experiencing waits of up to an hour. Similarly, those entering from Bulgaria at Gradina face comparable delays. The situation reflects a common pattern of congestion during peak travel periods. While these two crossings are the most heavily impacted, other entry and exit points are seeing more manageable wait times. For instance, Preševo, serving the route to North Macedonia, has average wait times of around 40 minutes for both entry and exit. Several crossings with Croatia, including Šid and Sot, and Sremska Rača with Bosnia and Herzegovina, also report waiting times of approximately 30 minutes for passenger vehicles. Travelers heading towards Hungary via Kelebija, or Croatia via Batrovci, can expect shorter waits of up to 20 minutes, as can those at Gostun and Špiljani with Montenegro, and Kotroman with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Importantly, terminals for freight vehicles and toll booths on Serbian highways are not experiencing extended delays, suggesting the congestion is primarily affecting passenger traffic.
