Regions must repair roads themselves after government cuts all state funding

Czech regions will have to repair second- and third-class roads from their own reserves after the government decided to give them no money from the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure this year.

The regions had previously received hundreds of millions of Czech crowns annually from the fund for this work. That support has now been withdrawn, leaving regional authorities to cover the repairs themselves.

The decision came from the government formed by ANO, SPD and the Motorists.
