Slower zones and a traffic-light removal: Vysoké Mýto plans to calm its center after D35 opens

Vysoké Mýto is preparing to make its center quieter after the opening of the D35 motorway shifted most through traffic away from the town’s main road.

The town hall has prepared a series of measures aimed at calming traffic. One proposal would connect the bus station directly to road I/35, while another under consideration would remove one of the traffic lights in the center.

The plans follow the opening of the D35, which reduced the amount of transit traffic passing through Vysoké Mýto. The city now wants to use the change to further reorganize traffic in the center.
