Renaissance de Berkane signs Cape Verdean winger Ryan Mendes

Moroccan club Renaissance de Berkane has officially announced the signing of Cape Verdean international winger Ryan Mendes. The transfer was completed on a free transfer, with the player agreeing to a one-season deal that includes an automatic option for a second year if specific performance targets are met.

Key objectives for Mendes include helping the club win the professional league title or the African Champions League. The 36-year-old winger brings a wealth of experience to the Moroccan side, having had a notable career across various leagues. He is considered one of the historical icons of the Cape Verde national team, with over 90 international appearances and participation in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
