Renan Santos calls Flávio Bolsonaro a 'criminal': 'He is in Brasília to do business'

Renan Santos, a presidential hopeful for the Missão party, has launched a strong attack against Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, labeling him a "criminal" and asserting that Bolsonaro's presence in Brasília is driven by a desire to "do business" rather than serve the public. Santos stated that Bolsonaro is focused on personal enrichment and real estate acquisition.

Santos further argued that Flávio Bolsonaro is unfit to challenge President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the 2026 presidential election, citing the "frightening" number of scandals surrounding the senator. He questioned the right-wing political sphere's tolerance for what he described as a "criminal" figure leading their movement.

The criticism extended to the Novo Party, which Santos accused of being "caudatário", subservient, to Bolsonaro's political ideology. He questioned the party's vision for Brazil, particularly regarding education, and suggested their primary alignment is with Bolsonaro's agenda. Santos also pointed to Bolsonaro's alleged dealings with individuals linked to organized crime and questioned why figures like Romeu Zema have not been more critical of these associations.

Santos rejected the notion of his own candidacy being a "third way" in the upcoming election. He expressed his ambition to win outright, positioning himself as the "only viable option" rather than a consolation prize. The candidate emphasized his intent to directly challenge the established political figures.
