Dramatic footage has emerged showing Faulder residents in British Columbia rescuing their dogs from a vehicle surrounded by intense flames during the Bald Range wildfire. The aggressive wildfire spread rapidly, leaving residents with minimal time to evacuate with their most cherished possessions, including pets.

Jarrot Stolar, one of the residents involved in the rescue, recounted the harrowing experience. "By the time we got the dogs out, the side of the vehicle was covered in flames," Stolar said. He described the extreme heat, noting minor burns on himself but emphasizing that he and his companion were otherwise unharmed, though they likely inhaled smoke. The terrifying ordeal involved screaming motorists urging them to leave as they focused on saving their animals.

Fire was… I got little burns all over me, but we weren’t hurt or anything. We’re both okay, and maybe we breathed in some smoke. But it was definitely hot and crazy.

Stolar and his companion were among the last individuals evacuated, accompanied by firefighters. "We both screamed a little bit when flames hit my window; it was pretty hot. Like we couldn’t even touch my window for a bit on my car. It was scary, but I’m not gonna lie. It was pretty terrifying and not knowing if my other animals were safe," he shared, highlighting the immense fear and uncertainty of the situation.

As of the report, Stolar remained unsure about the fate of his home and the extent of the damage caused by the wildfire.
