Restel Initiates Change Negotiations Affecting All Huili Station Employees

Restel Taukkopaikat Oy, responsible for restaurant and café services at Neste service stations under the Huili brand, has initiated change negotiations that encompass its entire workforce. These talks are anticipated to affect approximately 235 individuals, with potential adjustments to their employment contracts.

The Huili rest stops, which began opening about a year ago in spaces vacated by Neste K service stations, now number over 30 nationwide, with four located in Helsinki. The company's business director, Tarja Kuittinen, stated via email that the potential personnel impacts will become clearer as the negotiations progress. She emphasized that various options will be explored with employee representatives.

Restel's stated goal is to maintain all its operating locations. The company attributes the need for these negotiations to Finland's broader economic climate, which has led to more cautious consumer spending.
