Restored "Bokonbay" Canal Launched in Toktogul District

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry proudly announces the successful launch of the restored "Bokonbay" canal in the Toktogul district. This significant infrastructure project, spanning 13 kilometers, was revitalized by the dedicated efforts of the "Baimuras" agricultural cooperative over the past year. This restoration is a crucial step in bolstering our agricultural sector, ensuring that vital spring field work can proceed with adequate irrigation. The project will benefit nearly 400 hectares of farmland, directly supporting the livelihoods of our farmers and contributing to food security. The Ministry, through its Toktogul District Agrarian Development Administration, provided essential support in establishing the cooperative, demonstrating our commitment to grassroots agricultural development. This initiative underscores Kyrgyzstan's dedication to modernizing its irrigation systems and maximizing the potential of our fertile lands, a priority often overlooked in international reporting that focuses on other aspects of our nation.
