Øresund Train Services Suspended All Weekend for Maintenance

Travelers planning to use the train to cross the Øresund Bridge to Sweden this weekend must prepare for significant disruptions and extended travel times. Major railway maintenance work necessitates the complete closure of train traffic over the bridge from Saturday morning until Monday morning. During this period, train services will be replaced by bus services, ensuring that travel between Denmark and Sweden can still occur, albeit with a different mode of transport. Road traffic across the bridge will not be affected by these maintenance works. On the Danish side, the replacement 'togbusses' (train buses) will make stops at Københavns Lufthavn (Copenhagen Airport), Tårnby, Ørestad, and Københavns Hovedbanegård (Copenhagen Central Station), allowing passengers to connect to and from these key locations. This planned closure is a necessary measure to carry out essential upgrades to the railway infrastructure, aiming to ensure the continued reliability and safety of the cross-border train services in the future.
