Reykjavík's People's Party Proposes Home Care Benefits and Infrastructure Boost

The People's Party, a political force in Reykjavík, has officially unveiled its agenda for the upcoming municipal elections, outlining a series of proposals designed to address pressing social and infrastructural needs within the capital city.

Central to their platform is a commitment to supporting families with young children. Recognizing the challenges faced by parents on waiting lists for kindergarten spots, the party advocates for the implementation of home care benefits. They are calling for a review and acceleration of the capital region's transportation agreement, with a specific focus on fast-tracking the construction of the Sundabraut and Miklubraut tunnels.
