Rezvani launches extreme pickup with military-grade armor and off-road focus

American firm Rezvani Motors has launched the Fortress 2027, a limited-production pickup truck that pushes the boundaries of high-performance off-roading. Built on the foundation of the Ford F-150 Raptor, this new model boasts a potent powertrain delivering up to 850 horsepower, specialized preparation for extreme terrain, and an optional suite of military-inspired safety features.

Rezvani, based in California, is known for its niche vehicles characterized by aggressive styling, advanced off-road prowess, and extensive customization. The company typically modifies existing platforms, transforming them with significant mechanical, structural, and design changes to create unique market offerings. For the Fortress, they selected the renowned Ford F-150 Raptor as their base, enhancing it with a bespoke body, widened wheel arches, reinforced bumpers, auxiliary LED lighting, composite materials, and an overall aesthetic that leans towards tactical vehicles.

The Fortress 2027 offers two engine choices. The base version is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 450 hp. The more powerful variant features a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine that generates up to 850 hp and 881 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a permanent all-wheel-drive system.

Off-road capability is a central focus of the Fortress. It features long-travel suspension with FOX Live Valve shocks, a reinforced structure, increased ground clearance, and can accommodate up to 40-inch tires. It also includes various driving modes for sand, mud, snow, rock, and daily use, along with electronic differential locks and specific off-road driving aids. Rezvani claims the Fortress offers up to 38 centimeters of ground clearance, approach angles of 38 degrees, departure angles of 29 degrees, and the ability to ford water up to a meter deep.

Adding to its extreme nature, the Fortress offers an optional ballistic protection package. This includes military-grade armor, bullet-resistant glass, underbody protection against explosives, run-flat tires, and Kevlar shielding for critical components. This optional package underscores the vehicle's extreme capabilities and its appeal to those seeking unparalleled protection and performance.
