RFEF opens traveling 'Casa de España' in Atlanta ahead of World Cup debut

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) launched its itinerant 'Casa de España' in Atlanta, a space dedicated to celebrating Spanish football heritage. Inaugurated on June 14, the venue is adorned with mementos from Spain's past triumphs, including the coveted 2010 World Cup trophy.

This 'Casa de España' is designed to be mobile, with plans to establish similar fan zones in each World Cup host city. The Atlanta location will operate from June 13 to June 21, coinciding with Spain's initial matches in the city. Following their games, the RFEF will relocate the space to Guadalajara, Mexico, for Spain's final group stage match against Uruguay, and potentially other cities depending on the team's progression.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including RFEF President Rafael Louzán, Spain's Ambassador to the United States Ángela Moreno Bau, and Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens. They exchanged gifts, marking the official opening of the space. The venue features a mural by Andalusian painters 'Lalone' and 'Kato', depicting iconic moments such as Torres' goal in Euro 2008, the celebrations of Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams in Euro 2024, Casillas' save against Robben, and Iniesta's decisive goal that secured Spain's historic 2010 World Cup victory.
