Riteriai's problems continue: only four footballers received partial salaries

Football club FK Riteriai is grappling with ongoing financial instability, leaving players in a precarious situation. Coach A. Gargli revealed that only four players received partial salary payments, despite assurances from the club owner. This financial strain significantly impacts player morale and performance, as off-field worries consume their thoughts.

"Players are trying, but they don't get their salaries at the end of the month, and this affects them psychologically," Gargli stated. He expressed a desire for the team to focus solely on football, but acknowledged that current circumstances make this impossible.

I hope we take a step forward. I wish that in the future we could talk only about football – about training and matches. But at the moment, these are not the only things that are important. Every player's head is not only thinking about football, and this becomes a problem when you need to train or play matches with quality.

The club's financial woes have persisted even after the introduction of a new investor, Clancy Osei Konadu, from the Netherlands earlier this year. Reports indicate that Riteriai owes money to the security company "Ekskomisarų biuras." Konadu is reportedly seeking alternative security providers, but these efforts have so far been unsuccessful.

FK Riteriai remains at the bottom of the TOPLYGA league table, with their recent 0-3 home loss to Suduva highlighting their struggles. The team's inability to capitalize on early chances and subsequent difficulties in controlling the game underscore the depth of their challenges, both on and off the pitch.
