Rivers ADC dismisses reports of alliance with Wike’s Rainbow Coalition

The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has strongly refuted claims circulating in the media about a supposed alliance with the Rainbow Coalition, a political group led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. Party officials dismissed the reports as "false and misleading," emphasizing that the ADC in Rivers State is a unified entity with no factions.

The party's State Publicity Secretary, Chizi Enyi, issued a statement clarifying that individuals presented as ADC representatives in the reports are not recognized officials and lack any authority to speak or act on behalf of the party. "Any political declaration, alliance, endorsement or purported ‘collapse’ announced by such individuals is entirely personal and cannot, under any circumstance, be attributed to or bind the African Democratic Congress," Enyi stated.

Furthermore, the ADC challenged the credibility of the publications by highlighting the non-existence of an "Ibe Kachukwu faction" within the party in Rivers State, questioning the verification processes of the media outlets that published the story. The party views these reports as a deliberate attempt to create a false impression of internal division.
