Rob Zombie's former 'Origami House' with waterfalls listed for $6.5 million

Rob Zombie's former residence in Connecticut, dubbed the "Origami House," has returned to the market with a price tag of $6.5 million. This distinctive property, located in Weston, offers a blend of dramatic architecture and secluded natural surroundings, featuring a koi sanctuary and spaces designed to merge indoor and outdoor living.

The estate spans approximately 15.57 acres and includes an 8,586-square-foot home with four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie and his wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, purchased the property in 2022 for $6.5 million through a trustee. They subsequently sold it in 2024 for $4.95 million, according to property records.

The home's nickname, "Origami House," stems from its angular, folded design, which eschews a conventional rectangular shape for a series of geometric forms and dramatic rooflines. Designed by the Manhattan firm Leroy Street Studio, the residence boasts a sculptural quality, enhanced by extensive glass walls and high ceilings that allow natural light to permeate the interior.

A striking feature is the Glass Great Room, inspired by I.M. Pei's Louvre Pyramid. This space has three glass walls opening onto a terrace, offering direct views of the landscaped grounds and a cascading waterfall. The design philosophy extends throughout the house, with large windows, skylights, and elevated ceilings connecting various sections and integrating the surrounding landscape into the living experience. The property also includes an unusual koi sanctuary with two waterfalls beneath a portion of the residence.
