Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud's colossal $450 million superyacht, the Serene, harbors a unique design element: a secret 'sea cabin' strategically placed deep within its hull. This specially designed space, inspired by Balinese aesthetics, aims to combat seasickness and offer a tranquil retreat during turbulent voyages.

The cabin is situated three decks below the main owner's suite, near the exact center of the 439-foot vessel. This location is crucial, as naval architecture dictates that the middle of a ship experiences the least motion. While the yacht is equipped with advanced stabilizers, the sea cabin leverages the science of ship movement to create an exceptionally calm sleeping environment, particularly beneficial for those prone to seasickness.

Inside, the sea cabin eschews ostentatious decoration for a serene, simple luxury, evoking a tropical beach feel. A double bed faces the rear, beneath a ceiling mimicking a Balinese thatched roof. Natural colors and modern furnishings complement the space. A standout feature is a large shell door that, when the yacht is anchored, unfolds into a private sea-level balcony, allowing direct access to the water.
