Romanian Boy Injured on Scooter; Police Investigate Possible Falling Object

Police in Brăila, Romania, are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident where a 12-year-old boy was injured while riding an electric scooter. The boy sustained injuries after falling on the roadway on May 29, 2026, around 2:45 PM.

From the checks carried out by the police, it was established that while riding an electric scooter in the locality of Comăneasca, on DN22, from Râmnicu-Sărat towards Brăila, the minor fell on the roadway, suffering injuries.

The incident occurred in the locality of Comăneasca, on DN22, as the minor was traveling from Râmnicu-Sărat towards Brăila. Following the fall, the boy was transported to the hospital for medical attention. Initial findings by the county police inspectorate suggest the child fell while riding the scooter.

However, authorities are also looking into public reports suggesting the boy might have been hit by an object falling from the air. Representatives from the Brăila County Police Inspectorate stated that these aspects are still under investigation.
