Valeria Enache appointed head of Romania's State Inspectorate for Constructions

Valeria Enache has been appointed as the new inspector general of the State Inspectorate for Constructions (ISC) in Romania, holding the rank of state secretary. The decision was signed by interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and published in the Official Gazette on Monday evening.

Enache officially assumes her duties upon the publication of the decision. She succeeds Adina Marilena Szitar, who was removed from the inspector general position at her own request. Szitar had taken over leadership of the institution in March, following political negotiations regarding appointments in the central administration.

The State Inspectorate for Constructions is the Romanian institution responsible for overseeing compliance with construction laws. It verifies discipline in the authorization and execution of works and monitors the application of technical regulations within the sector. The decisions regarding Szitar's removal and Enache's appointment were officially published on Monday.
