Romanian President concludes Paris visit, heads to Kyiv for Ukraine summit

Romanian President Nicușor Dan has concluded an official two-day visit to Paris, where he attended the Coalition of Will meeting and events marking France's National Day. His trip underscores Romania's active role in European security and its unwavering support for Ukraine.

In Paris, Dan emphasized Romania's commitment to consolidating European security and aiding Ukraine. "Romania is an active and reliable partner in efforts to consolidate European security," he stated on Facebook. Discussions within the Coalition of Will focused on Ukraine's support and the necessary steps toward a just and lasting peace. He also joined French President Emmanuel Macron and other European leaders in celebrating France's National Day, reaffirming the strong strategic partnership and friendship between Romania and France.

President Dan's visit to Paris included participation in the Coalition of Will meeting on Monday and Tuesday. This coalition is dedicated to coordinating support for Ukraine and discussing the future European security architecture. His partner, Mirabela Grădinaru, accompanied him.

The Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit, launched in 2023, serves as a platform for regional leaders to coordinate support for Ukraine and identify common solutions to challenges posed by the ongoing war.
