Ronaldinho, 46, joins Italian Serie C club Ravenna in marketing role

Ronaldinho, the Brazilian football icon known for his "jogo bonito" style, has embarked on a new adventure, signing a deal with Italian Serie C club Ravenna. The move has generated buzz globally, raising questions about the 2002 World Cup champion's involvement after more than a decade of professional inactivity.

Ravenna's vice-president, Ariedo Braida, clarified that Ronaldinho's role will be primarily in marketing and that he will not be playing for the team. "Ronaldinho will participate in the marketing area with us, but he will not play for Ravenna in Serie C next season. I wish he could still play, it would be fantastic," Braida stated. However, the club has not ruled out the possibility of Ronaldinho playing in an exhibition match.

Beyond his commercial role with Ravenna, Ronaldinho has been active in other ventures. He is the face of a music project called "Camisa 10," featuring artists from various countries. The Brazilian legend is also attending the 2026 World Cup in North America, where he has been seen with former teammates like Ronaldo.
