Ronaldinho to hang up his boots? Legend signs with Italian third-division club

Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho may be making a return to the pitch, over a decade after his last professional appearance. The 46-year-old legend has reportedly signed a contract with Ravenna, a club competing in Italy's Serie C, the third tier of Italian football.

Ravenna officials initially indicated that Ronaldinho's role would be primarily focused on marketing activities for the club. However, Ariedo Braida, the vice-president of Ravenna, has suggested that the possibility of the Brazilian superstar actually playing in matches has not been entirely dismissed.

According to Italian media outlet Gazzetta, a promotional event is scheduled to take place in Miami next Tuesday to introduce Ronaldinho. His last professional club was Fluminense in his native Brazil, and his career has been marked by dazzling skill and numerous accolades, including a Ballon d'Or and a World Cup title.
