Rosita Bouchot, who played Paty in “El Chavo del 8,” shares hospital photo and asks for prayers

Rosita Bouchot appeared in a hospital gown with a smile on her face, asking her followers for prayers before an operation while assuring them that she was doing well.

The actress, known for playing Paty, El Chavo del 8’s girlfriend, said she would undergo the procedure at 2:30 p.m. She did not explain what the operation involved, but sought to calm those concerned about her health.

“I’m fine and I’m going to be better. All your blessings are welcome. I’m having surgery today at 2:30 in the afternoon. If you can send me kind thoughts and prayers, I would appreciate it,” Bouchot wrote.

Fans responded with messages of support just two days after she celebrated her 75th birthday with her husband, Jorge Estrada Avendaño. Despite the upcoming operation, Bouchot appeared in good spirits. She ate a chile en nogada at a restaurant and later spoke with followers during an Instagram livestream on Aug. 30.

Bouchot has also recently revisited an episode involving Roberto Gómez Bolaños, known as Chespirito. In an interview with Matilde Obregón in April, she said he once suggested he might have been attracted to her after she replaced Patty Juárez as Paty. Bouchot recalled that he entered her dressing room after filming and said, “Rosita, I don’t know if I’m calling you as a woman or as an actress.” She said she was young and did not know how to respond. She also said Florinda Meza had never treated her disdainfully, describing Meza as discreet and reserved even before both women entered television.
