Rossa brings in her ex-husband to co-parent their adopted daughter

Rossa does not want her adopted daughter, Raina Mikayla Almahyra, to grow up feeling she has no father. So the Indonesian singer has brought her former husband, Surendro Prasetyo, better known as Yoyo Padi, into the child’s upbringing.

Rossa said Yoyo agreed to take on the role and has grown close to Raina. “I did not want her to grow up with the feeling that she did not have a father. So I rely on Yoyo. He really loves children,” she said on the YouTube podcast Iso-Late Show.

Yoyo has sometimes gone to Rossa’s home specifically to see Raina. Rossa said he also cares deeply for his younger sibling, while their son Rizky was in Bandung and she was away from home.

Rossa and Yoyo married on March 18, 2004, and had a son, Rizky Langit Ramadhan, in October 2006. They divorced on July 14, 2009, but have maintained a harmonious relationship as parents. Rossa said Yoyo remains responsible toward the family even though their marriage did not last. “Thankfully, my relationship with Yoyo has remained a family relationship from then until now. Perhaps we were not destined to stay together in marriage, but when it comes to family, he is the best.”

Rossa said she hopes to maintain a good relationship with Yoyo’s future wife if he remarries. She announced Raina’s adoption in mid-2026, although she had cared for the girl since she was three months old. Rossa said she had long wanted another child and had previously considered remarriage and in vitro fertilization, but neither plan materialized.
