Rotary District 9111 to Host Interact Conference for Young Leaders

Rotary International District 9111 is set to convene its 2026 Interact Conference, a significant event designed to foster leadership and service among young individuals. Scheduled for April 17-18, 2026, at the Women Development Center in Ijaiye-Ogba, Lagos, the conference carries the inspiring theme, "Uniting young leaders for future excellence."

Governor of Rotary District 9111, Rotarian Henry Akinyele, emphasized the conference's core mission: to equip young leaders, aged 12 to 18, with crucial leadership skills and instill the Rotary principle of "Service Above Self." He highlighted the Interact Clubs Conference as a unique platform for young people to cultivate social and community-relevant values, taking on responsibilities within a supportive peer environment.

Interact Clubs Conference is also a wonderful opportunity for young people to learn social and socially relevant values and take on responsibility in an intimate community of their peers.

The event promises a rich agenda with distinguished speakers. Rotarian Bukonla Alamu, Chairman of the District 9111 Interact Committee, announced that the lineup includes Mubarak Agbaje, the District 9111 Interactive Representative. Amb. Juliet Obi will share insights on entrepreneurship for teenagers, focusing on transforming ideas into income. Rotarian Mercy George-Igbafe is set to discuss the strategic use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool for career development.

Further enriching the conference, Rotarian Abeni Adesanya, Secretary of the District 9111 Interact Committee, revealed that other notable speakers will address vocational empowerment and leadership. Rotarian Oluwatosin Disu will focus on vocational empowerment, while Fashakin Olusegun will explore "unlocking next generation leadership," blending academic achievement with practical strategies tailored for young leaders.
