Royyuda Develops LMS to Strengthen Japanese-Language Learning

Japanese-language study no longer has to stop when the classroom session ends. That need for independent learning led Royyuda Agusto Ompusunggu, founder of Indonesia’s Nande Nihon education community, to develop a Learning Management System called Student Portal.

Nande Nihon has begun using the platform in its programs. Students can access learning materials, class schedules, assignments and quizzes, while also tracking their progress. The portal includes attendance features and offers downloadable digital certificates after participants complete a program according to its requirements.

“I want students to have their own learning space. The learning process should not only take place when class starts, but can continue independently through the materials, assignments, quizzes and progress monitoring available in Student Portal,” Royyuda said.

For Royyuda, the project is not simply about putting lessons online. “For me, creating a learning platform is not only about technology. The most important thing is how that technology truly helps students learn and understand how far they have progressed,” he said.

Nande Nihon was established in 2025 and focuses on language education and introducing Japanese culture to Indonesians. Royyuda said Student Portal would continue to evolve as the community seeks to address more varied learning needs and expand the use of technology in Japanese-language education.
