RSP Central Committee to meet today

Kathmandu, Nepal – The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is convening a crucial meeting of its Central Committee today, August 21. General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya announced that the gathering at the party's central office in Banasthali will address several pressing issues vital to the party's future.

The meeting will discuss and decide on several issues, including the framework for selecting candidates for the upcoming local elections.

A primary focus of the meeting will be the framework for selecting candidates for the forthcoming local elections. The committee is expected to formally approve the Local Election Candidate Selection Framework for 2026. Discussions will also encompass the development of a document related to the "Right to Recall" provision, a significant aspect of political accountability.

Furthermore, the RSP leadership will deliberate on nominations for various party positions. These sessions are designed for Central Committee members and members of the House of Representatives who hold leadership roles at the local level. The overall objective is to solidify the party's organizational approach and ensure thorough preparations for the upcoming local elections.
