RSP chair Lamichhane briefs President Paudel on Bhotekoshi flood response

Rastriya Swatantra Party chair Rabi Lamichhane met President Ramchandra Paudel on Monday to brief him on the damage caused by flooding in the Bhotekoshi area and the response under way.

Lamichhane visited Paudel at Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office, according to RSP spokesperson Jagdish Kharel. The briefing covered floods that entered the Trishuli River through the Bhotekoshi, the resulting destruction, and ongoing search, rescue and relief efforts.

Lamichhane had also met Prime Minister Balendra Shah earlier on Monday. Kharel said the meeting with the president followed an update from the prime minister on the government’s handling of the disaster.
