Rubio Ñu signs promising Argentine midfielder Tobías Leiva

Rubio Ñu, a club facing the critical task of remaining in Paraguay's top football division, has bolstered its squad with the acquisition of Tobías Manuel Leiva, a promising 22-year-old Argentine defensive midfielder. Leiva arrives from Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, where he played in Argentina's second tier, Primera Nacional. Leiva's previous experience includes a stint with Aldosivi de Mar del Plata, where he made 23 appearances and scored two goals during the 2025 season. His arrival follows that of another Argentine player, 19-year-old Maximiliano Garrone, who joined from Nacional. These signings are crucial as Rubio Ñu prepares for the upcoming Clausura championship, which begins on July 24. The club, also known as Laureado de Santísima Trinidad, is under the technical command of Felipe Ariel Giménez, nicknamed 'Felipep'. The team is determined to avoid relegation, a significant challenge given their current standing.
