Rudi Margono Appointed Acting Jampidsus Following Febrie Adriansyah's Resignation

Rudi Margono has been appointed as the Acting Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at Indonesia's Attorney General's Office. The appointment follows the resignation of the previous Jampidsus, Febrie Adriansyah.

Margono, who previously served as the Junior Attorney General for Supervision, will now undertake the duties of the acting Jampidsus. This transition is guided by a decree from the Attorney General, aimed at guaranteeing the uninterrupted execution of Jampidsus's functions and authorities until a definitive appointment is made.

The Attorney General's Office, through its Head of Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, has assured that this leadership change will not impede ongoing legal proceedings. Supriatna stated that all special criminal cases will continue to be handled professionally, independently, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

This development comes amidst a period of significant attention on the Jampidsus office, following reports of a substantial sum of money being discovered during a joint police investigation.
