Russia Attacks Ukrnafta Production Sites and Well with Drones

Russia launched a significant drone assault overnight targeting production facilities and a well belonging to the Naftogaz Group across eastern, western, and central Ukraine. The company reported on Facebook that the enemy conducted "mass strikes" against various Naftogaz Group enterprises, specifically hitting "Ukrnafta" production facilities and a drilling site with dozens of combat drones.

Russia launched a large-scale attack against the Naftogaz Group's facilities in eastern, western, and central Ukraine.

The attacks inflicted substantial damage on the production infrastructure, rendering some equipment inoperable and leading to the suspension of operations at one facility. Fortunately, due to implemented safety measures, no employees at the targeted sites sustained injuries. This latest offensive follows a series of recent attacks, including drone strikes on seven "Ukrnafta" gas stations in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions on August 7 and 8, during which one gas station employee was injured.

Serhiy Fedorenko, interim CEO of Naftogaz Group, noted a marked increase in enemy attacks on oil and gas infrastructure in recent days. He stated that the clear objective is to cause maximum damage to Ukraine's production facilities and critical infrastructure, aiming to disrupt preparations for the heating season. "Our priority is to save people's lives and continue working even in such difficult circumstances," Fedorenko added.

The enemy continues to carry out massive strikes on various companies belonging to the Naftogaz Group. Specifically, on the night of August 9, a massive attack was carried out against Ukrnafta's production facilities and a well.

According to Ukrinform, Russia has conducted 287 attacks on Naftogaz Group facilities since the beginning of 2026, a figure exceeding the total number of attacks throughout 2025. The company is focused on maintaining operations and ensuring the safety of its personnel amidst the escalating conflict.
