Russia Claims Massive Strike on Ukraine's Military Industry; Kyiv Reports Civilian Casualties

Russia's Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its armed forces conducted a large-scale precision strike against Ukrainian military industry facilities in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. The ministry stated the attack, utilizing long-range precision air, land, and sea-based weapons along with drones, was a response to "terrorist attacks" by the Ukrainian regime.

In response to the terrorist attacks of the Kyiv regime, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike with long-range precision-guided air, ground, and naval weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, against facilities of the defense industry in Ukraine.

According to the Russian military, the strikes hit nine targets within the industrial sector responsible for producing drones and electronic warfare systems. The ministry asserted that Russian forces do not plan or execute attacks against civilian infrastructure, suggesting that any impact on civilian sites was unintentional or caused by external factors.

Separately, Ukrainian authorities reported that a massive missile and drone attack on the capital, Kyiv, resulted in four deaths and 23 injuries. The attack caused a fire on the roof of the Dormition Cathedral, a significant landmark within the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra monastery. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have intercepted a large number of the incoming projectiles, stating they neutralized 50 out of 70 missiles and 582 out of 611 drones launched.
