Russia: Drone attack sparks massive fire at Wildberries logistics center

A massive fire engulfed a "Wildberries" logistics center in Russia's Samara region following a drone attack early Wednesday morning. The "Novosemeikino" facility, spanning approximately 128,000 square meters, is a significant hub for the e-commerce company, having opened just in May 2025.

Eyewitness videos shared on social media depict a substantial portion of the warehouse complex consumed by flames, with dense black smoke rising into the sky. The press service for "Wildberries" confirmed the fire was a result of a drone attack.

Regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported that an air alert for drone threats was issued around 3 AM local time. Roughly an hour later, authorities implemented the "Kovior" plan, temporarily closing the airspace over the entire region. The attack has caused significant disruption and concern in the area.

Amidst the aftermath, a video emerged showing a Samara resident emotionally reacting to the explosions, pleading for an end to the war. "God, when will all this end? I've been trembling since morning from these sounds... There were no sirens, nothing at all, just an SMS message," the woman expressed in the video, which has been widely shared on Russian Telegram channels.
