Russia will pause its attacks on Kyiv for three days, a Kremlin spokesperson told Reuters, while U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner travel to Moscow and Kyiv over the weekend.

The pause is linked to the envoys’ visits, according to the report. Witkoff and Kushner are due to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin before traveling to Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy has confirmed that the American envoys will arrive in the Ukrainian capital on Sunday.

Ukraine announced on Friday that it would not conduct air attacks against Russia for four days. The diplomatic movement comes as the fighting continues. Four people were killed overnight in a Russian attack outside the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, according to the regional governor. Russian drones also struck Kyiv, where two women were injured after the top floor of an apartment building caught fire.
