Russia's Cold War-era "Radio of the Apocalypse" has reactivated, transmitting cryptic messages after a Russian missile fell on Polish territory, escalating tensions between NATO and Moscow. The broadcast, known as "The Buzzer," operates on the 4.625 kHz frequency and typically emits a repetitive hum. When a message is sent, the hum stops, and an operator reads coded words in Russian. These transmissions are usually associated with periods of high tension and are believed to be part of Russia's military command system, potentially signaling exercises, readiness tests, or operational communications.

One of the recent messages included the Russian word "KLETKA," meaning "CELL," while another used "NEDOTEPA," roughly translated as "FOOL" or "CLUMSY PERSON." The reactivation of this radio system occurred just hours after a Russian missile reportedly entered Polish airspace during a large-scale missile attack by Russia on Ukraine. Polish emergency services cordoned off an area near Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship, where a crater approximately 10 meters in diameter was discovered.
