The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that strikes targeting Ukraine's defense industry in the capital have commenced, signaling a potential intensification of the conflict.

This advisory follows Russia's accusation that Ukraine conducted a drone attack on a student dormitory in Starobilsk, a city in the Russian-occupied Luhansk region. While the Ukrainian military has denied responsibility, they stated their targets were specifically "an elite unmanned aerial vehicle command unit" in the area. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated Moscow would continue strikes on Kyiv in response to what it termed a "deliberate drone attack."

In the Russian-occupied Donetsk region, four civilians, including two children, were killed in an attack attributed to the Ukrainian army.

Further south, in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, a Russian attack resulted in the deaths of two men and injured 19 others. The strikes damaged warehouses, vehicles, and a business, with emergency services extinguishing a resulting fire. These incidents underscore the ongoing and devastating impact of the war on civilian populations on both sides of the conflict.
