Russia Warns Kyiv Residents to Evacuate Amidst Threat of 'Systematic Strikes'

Russia has issued a stark warning to residents of Kyiv, including diplomatic personnel and international organizations, urging them to evacuate the Ukrainian capital as soon as possible. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it plans to conduct "systematic strikes" on targets associated with Ukraine's military-industrial complex.

This advisory comes as a response to what Russia describes as a "bloody attack" on a school building and dormitory in the Luhansk region, which is under Russian control. Moscow claims that 21 students died in this attack, stating that "everything has crossed the critical point."

The Russian Ministry further specified that the intended targets include locations involved in the design, production, programming, and preparation of drones. Russia alleges that Ukraine is using these drones with the assistance of NATO experts who are responsible for procurement, intelligence sharing, and target designation. The strikes, according to the ministry, will be directed at both decision-making centers and command posts.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that four people were killed and approximately 100 injured in Russian overnight strikes. Moscow maintains these strikes were retaliation for Ukraine's attack on a college building and dormitory in Starobilsk, Luhansk region.

Ukraine has denied these accusations, asserting that its forces exclusively target military infrastructure and facilities used for military purposes, while strictly adhering to international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of warfare.
