Russian Attacks Injure Five, Including Three Children, in Kyiv Region; Seven Hurt in Sumy

Russian forces struck a residential building in the Bucha district of Kyiv region on Wednesday morning, injuring five people, including three children. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported the attack via Telegram, stating that the strike hit a house in the village of Chaiki. A fire broke out at the site and was quickly extinguished by rescuers. Another private house was also damaged.

In the Boryspil district, office and warehouse premises, along with two vehicles, were damaged. Rescue services were active at all incident locations. The Kyiv regional military administration had previously announced an air raid alert, with Ukraine's air force reporting a jet drone heading towards the Kyiv region.

Meanwhile, in the Sumy region, Russian forces conducted 37 attacks on 23 settlements over the past 24 hours, resulting in seven injuries, including two children. The Sumy regional police reported on Facebook that attacks utilized guided aerial bombs, FPV drones, combat drones, mortars, and artillery, targeting the Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts.

Injuries in Sumy included an 18-year-old man from a drone strike, two women aged 26 and 73 from drone attacks on July 20, and an eight-month-old girl injured by a Russian drone on July 19, and a 12-year-old boy injured by a guided aerial bomb on July 15. In Bilopillia, a 76-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman sought medical attention for injuries sustained in a drone strike on July 20. Residential buildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure across the region sustained damage. Police investigation teams are working at the sites, and criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for violations of the laws of war.
